We are very pleased to announce that Senpai Gareth Facer successfully promoted to nidan this morning.
Thank you to Jun Shihan Scott Holdsworth for directing a careful and challenging grading, which permitted Senpai Gareth to shine.
This was the last grading in our current dojo so it was a very special day.
Osu!

Osu. Last week, we saw how much progress more than 35 students had made on their journey with Seido karate at our September General Grading event. The standard of karate was high and the energy levels were even higher with lots of loud Osu! We are pleased to report that everyone passed with flying colours.
Osu. Special mention to Nicholas who was promoted to Advanced brown (1st Kyu). Very well done.
Osu. Our thanks also go to Kyoshi Shane for taking the grading with his trademark thoroughness, where no corners of the syllabus are left untouched.

Osu. On Saturday we hosted a Kids & Youth Seido Spirit Fun Tournament in association with the Seido Karate Devonport. The future of both dojos is in safe hands if the standard of karate on display is a fair assessment. Competing in a tournament is a character-building event, and the kids did themselves proud, and their instructors proud. Well done to you all.
Thanks to Kyoshi Julie for the organisational skills to put the tournament on, to JS Lou and Senpai Barbara for the judging and to all the other black belts and karateka who helped. Well done to JS Shane for bringing your best students from Devonport.
Our final thanks go to the parents and supporters who cheered on from the sidelines - the joy on your children's faces was a sight to behold. It's clear they are enjoying their karate.
